Mr. Gelfand has tried cases in state court, federal court, and arbitration tribunals throughout the United States. His practice also includes other types of litigation such as professional sports litigation, professional malpractice, defamation and other intetional torts, class actions, telecommunications, antitrust, and other complex commercial litigation. One particular specialty is emergency action litigation, including injunctions and all provisional and expedited remedies. Mr. Gelfand's cases have been routinely followed on television and in the print media, his writings have been published in national law journals, and many cases have resulted in reported decisions throughout the United States.

Before relocating to South Florida in 2001, Mr. Gelfand's litigation practice was based in midtown Manhattan for more than a decade. This New York-based background, he believes, is what provides the competitive edge which has been integral to the success of Mr. Gelfand's legal practice.
A graduate of Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois and Yeshiva University's Cardozo School of Law in New York City (where he was senior editor of the Cardozo Law Review), Mr. Gelfand now resides in Parkland, Florida with his wife and children.
